Hello,
I'm Omori, a designer.
Jewelry encapsulates the wearer's emotions.
When those emotions are reborn in a new form, a special story is woven – today, I'd like to introduce the charm of such jewelry remodeling.
"Ms. Omori, how many remodeling projects do you handle in a month?"
Upon receiving that question, I paused to think.
"How much jewelry have I worked on so far?"
I started working in the jewelry industry in 2007.
Fortunately, I gained experience as a jewelry designer right after joining the company.
For about 17 years, I've been involved in every step of a piece of jewelry's journey, from gemstone purchasing to CAD operation and sales, until it reaches the customer's hands.
Looking back, the number of jewelry pieces I've worked on exceeded 4,000.
This is all thanks to the connections I've made with my customers. Thank you very much.
Today, I'd like to introduce a remodeling example requested by the customer who asked the question at the beginning of this post.
They brought in a remarkable 10 pieces of jewelry.
The request was to transform these precious pieces, inherited from family, into a single new piece of jewelry, using all the gemstones.

Jewelry before remodeling
When I first spoke with the customer, they didn't have a clear design in mind, so we started by brainstorming how to proceed together.
Through careful discussion, I first proposed a ring design.
When they saw the design later, they were delighted, but expressed concern about its wearability for everyday use, and requested a design change to earrings.
Thinking that "earrings would make colorful gemstones easier to wear daily," we decided on a hoop earring design.
Through continued communication, we found the perfect jewelry form that the customer truly "wanted to wear!"
I designed the arrangement of various shapes and colors of gemstones while imagining the customer's facial features, demeanor, and lifestyle.
After confirming the detailed design with CAD and obtaining the customer's approval, we proceeded with production.

The CAD design confirmed by the customer
The result was a pair of charming asymmetrical hoop earrings, with no two gemstones alike.
Each gemstone harmonized beautifully, creating a truly unique piece of jewelry that offers a new expression every time it's worn.

Earrings after remodeling
When the customer came to pick them up, they expressed immense delight, saying, "These beautiful earrings are even better than I imagined."
Afterward, I received a message saying, "I wear them almost every day," which truly warmed my heart.
Jewelry doesn't just adorn; it holds special value, embodying memories and stories.
I am truly grateful to be able to help connect those sentiments to the future in a new form.
I will continue to assist everyone in giving shape to their feelings.
See you in the next blog post.
