Hello everyone.
I'm Omori, the designer.
In my previous post, I introduced the remodeling of a gold ring characterized by its plump, rounded form.
Today, I'll talk about a ring remodeling that showcases craftsmanship with a focus on gold texture and straight edges.
This time, the client who consulted us also came from Hiroshima Prefecture.
I am sincerely grateful for their willingness to travel from afar, and it gives me confidence that our daily efforts are reaching someone's heart.
They brought us a prong-set diamond ring.

Diamond ring before remodeling
While the design is a bit difficult to wear now, the diamond set in this ring boasts an impressive presence, weighing in at a whopping 2 carats!
The client had apparently been considering remodeling for many years.
It was during this time that they found us, and finally decided to consult with us.
This diamond is an exquisite piece, with perfect size, color, clarity, and cut.
It shone so brightly that I felt a delicate design might be overwhelmed by its brilliance.
The client had pre-selected a design to transform this special gem, choosing the 'Carré' collection from 440.
It's a design characterized by five perfectly aligned square gold sections and precise straight edges.
I was thrilled at the prospect of the round-cut diamond and sharp gold lines blending exquisitely to create a ring that combines strength and smoothness.
What we value most in jewelry making is balance.
We pursued harmony between the roundness of the round-cut diamond and the linear corners of the gold, as well as their respective sizes.
To support the impressive 2-carat presence, we adjusted the body's volume in 0.1mm increments.
Furthermore, to highlight the diamond's brilliance, we deliberately avoided using other gemstones and focused entirely on the gold's finish.
To emphasize the beautiful corners of the gold, we spared no effort in achieving a perfect finish by producing the body and bezel separately, polishing them, and then assembling them.

The finished ring features a simple yet bold design that maximizes the appeal of both gold and diamond.
It became a masterpiece that not only possesses beauty and a warm, embracing sentiment but also enhances the client's personal style.

After completion, we delivered the ring by mail as it was difficult for the client to visit Tokyo.
Immediately upon arrival, we received a heartwarming message: "Thank you for creating such a beautiful piece. I'm so happy I can wear it casually now."
I am filled with gratitude that they entrusted us after so much deliberation and that they were satisfied with the result.
The story spun by jewelry thus connects to another future. With the joy of being able to contribute to this, I will continue to put my heart into each and every piece we create.
Please look forward to the next blog post.
