This time, I'd like to share the story of another request from that same client: a earring reform using a green butterfly motif.
A truly unique design has been completed, with the butterfly seemingly coming back to life and taking flight, so please enjoy reading until the end!
The client brought in a green butterfly motif with elaborate carving.
It was likely part of another piece of jewelry in the past, but despite its charm, it had been stored away in a drawer for some time.

The client's request was to "reform it into dangling earrings with a sophisticatedly cute aesthetic."
I began to think about a design that would bring the butterfly, which had been dormant in a drawer, back to life and seamlessly integrate it into her current lifestyle.
The most distinctive feature of this design is its asymmetrical composition, with different elements on the right and left.
On one side, the green butterfly motif is the main focus, while on the other, gold-crafted leaves, reminiscent of where a butterfly might play, were used to create earrings with movement and playfulness.
Furthermore, the four melee diamonds entrusted to us were set into the leaves.
Three stones were placed on the leaf, and one at the tip as if a dewdrop were falling, creating a design that resembles morning dew glistening on leaves.
Their sparkle breathes delicate life into the entire earring.
For the butterfly motif, the position of the original jump ring was adjusted to achieve the client's desired exquisite angle.
Below the butterfly, a small, simple butterfly crafted from gold was added.
This enhances the presence of the green butterfly while adding a touch of lightness.

The finished earrings evoke the lightness of leaves swaying in the breeze and a fluttering butterfly. With a design that combines a sophisticatedly cute aesthetic with elegance, they create a new look for the client's ears.

It is truly an honor to have been able to assist in connecting a story to the future by taking a cherished item and transforming it into a new piece of jewelry.
