Round objects stand out with straight lines.
Arranging round beads of red coral along a single straight line. While seemingly simple, this transforms coral, which often has a strong Japanese aesthetic, into a sleek and modern look. That gap is what makes the design vibrant.
This is a continuation of the red coral reform we introduced previously. Last time, it was a necklace for the mother and a jade ring. This time, it's jewelry for the client herself.
"Coral just isn't me..."
That's what the client said, but after several months, she finally arrived at a "shape" that suited her.

The key is the straight line.
Round coral beads are arranged along a boldly extended straight line. Precisely because the coral is round, the gold line is intentionally angular. This contrast between round and straight forms the overall balance of the design.
We also carefully decided the order of the coral beads with the client. Because there's variation in size, where to place each stone matters. These detailed accumulations turn it into "jewelry just for me."
The leftover round and baguette diamonds from the previous reform were also scattered as part of the pink gold line. The red of the coral, the sparkle of the diamonds, the luster of the pink gold. Each of their individual characteristics resonates, coming together as a single work.

To suit our petite client, we aimed for a design that has volume but doesn't look heavy. More cool than cute. We finished it while thinking about how even the rounded shadow of the coral reflecting on her clothes when worn would become part of the jewelry.
While making the brooch, we received a message from the client.
"I still have some coral left, right? I'd like to make earrings too."
Of course, we replied immediately.
Actually, besides the coral for the brooch, we had some extra coral on deposit. However, since that coral was used in a necklace, it had a貫通穴 through the center. How to deal with that hole — we decided to embed diamonds into the top and bottom of the coral used in the brooch, and also in the holes of the earrings.
A single sparkling diamond in the hard coral. If you look closely, diamonds are hidden everywhere. The coral, which tends to be plain, suddenly regained a fresh vibrancy, and the client was very pleased.

Upon delivery, she actually tried them on. They suited her perfectly. She even paired them with the diamond necklace we reformed for her previously, and it was a perfect match.

"I always thought coral didn't suit me, but I'm glad I had it made."
The moment I heard those words, I felt grateful for this job. How a stone looks changes with the design. I want to continue conveying that potential.
