We were consulted about creating a splendid brooch, unlike any other, using a shell cameo with exquisite carvings over 6cm and various gemstones that the client brought in.
We were entrusted with the design completely, receiving a shell cameo along with many unique gemstones of various sizes and colors, including opal, citrine, garnet, amethyst, tanzanite, sapphire, emerald, aquamarine, peridot, rubellite, diamond, amber, and coral.
The only request was for a splendid and unique design.
Given ample time, we arranged the many gemstones around the cameo to envision the design, presenting several design proposals to the client for their approval before proceeding.
To match the artistic cameo, the surrounding gemstones were colorful yet arranged to harmonize with the main cameo's colors, with careful consideration given to their shape, angle, and height differences.
Every gemstone has its charm. The various gemstones, set with dynamic coloring and angles to highlight the individuality of each stone, seem to joyfully dance around the cameo.
The asymmetrical design, with its weight tilted to be worn on the left chest, can also be said to be the true pleasure of custom-made pieces created with the client in mind.
