Did you get a chance to read my last blog post? This is another story from the same client who had her sapphire necklace remade into a ring.
I received a pear-shaped ruby necklace meticulously set in platinum. Its clear, vibrant red stirred my heart every time I held it.
"I don't wear necklaces" — it would be a shame to let this stone lie dormant. With that thought, the remodeling process began.
She wanted a ring. To bring out the dynamism and brilliance of this stone, I arrived at a design from 440's "Art Déco Modernism" collection. The pear-shaped ruby is gently encircled by diamonds, from which three delicate lines of light extend outwards like wings. These flowing lines, with their comfortable spacing, embody a modern dynamism within a classic beauty, offering a sense of volume yet also lightness. Viewed from the front, the stone looks as if it's about to take flight.
When I saw the finished ring, I couldn't help but exclaim. The dormant red was now soaring on her finger.
