Hello,
I'm Omori, the designer.
In my previous post, I shared a redesign story about transforming inherited jewelry into a vibrant ring.
In this blog post, I'd like to discuss the redesign of a "necklace" and "earrings" that I was newly commissioned to create by the client, following the ring. I'll share the design process and the charm of the finished pieces, explaining how each piece of jewelry was given new life.
Now, let the story of new brilliance begin.
I received a collection of jewelry adorned with garnets, rubies, pearls, and diamonds.

Jewelry before redesign
While all of the gemstones were beautiful, the designs felt dated, which led to this redesign request.
The client's request was for a cohesive design with the previously created ring. The items were a necklace and earrings. For the design details, they once again entrusted me with the decision, saying, "I'll leave it to you," which filled me with a sense of responsibility and joy.
Observing the client's fashion and existing jewelry, I noticed a predominant casual style with a touch of glamour. Therefore, I decided to propose elegant jewelry, similar to the ring. This design, with a touch of specialness, is something to be enjoyed by someone who already owns a lot of jewelry.
Here is the completed necklace.

Redesigned garnet and pearl necklace
I combined oval and trillion-cut garnets, with their beautiful deep red color like pomegranates, with round pearls. Since the color contrast between the garnets and pearls was striking, I added the soft hue of pink gold and the sparkle of diamonds to create overall harmony.
Furthermore, mirroring the first ring I designed, I incorporated a circular diamond design to emphasize the cohesion of the set. The result is a vibrant piece where the garnets and pearls seem to dance lightly around the décolletage.
Baby-sized pearls were added to the pink gold chain, further enhancing its elegance.

Next, here are the completed earrings.

Redesigned ruby and pearl earrings
Similar to the ring and necklace, I created a circular diamond design. By suspending uniquely shaped pearls from this circle, I designed them to elegantly sway at the ears.
Additionally, a vibrant red ruby is set in the center of the circle, adding an accent to the entire earring. As the pearls sway, they create a light, dancing impression, resulting in a piece that brightens the heart just by wearing it.
The common element incorporated into the ring, necklace, and earrings is "red."
The vibrant red of rubies and garnets is a color that energizes the wearer and beautifully enhances any outfit. These red-centric jewelry pieces, when worn as a set, radiate even more brilliance.
The client, wearing the first redesigned ring, visited to pick up the completed necklace and earrings. Holding the ring and the new necklace and earrings, and combining them, she was delighted, saying, "I can't believe how beautiful they look as a set!"
I am very happy that I could help make everyday life more glamorous and enjoyable through jewelry.
Now, the last redesigned item is a diamond ring.
It was transformed into three stackable rings. The continuation of this redesign story will be in the next blog post.
