Hello.
This is Kanae Omori, the designer.
Today, I'd like to share with you a wonderful renovation story, imbued with the warm bond of a family of three.
"While my mother is still well, I want to remodel her jewelry to suit 'the mother she is today'."
With these words, the customer showed me her mother's red coral necklace and jade ring.
And one more thing.
"I also want to make jewelry that my sister and I can each wear, using the leftover coral from the necklace."
This request, which began with a single necklace, expanded into a renovation project connecting the wishes of all three individuals.

Mother's Red Coral, for the Mother of Today
The necklace brought in featured a string of lustrous red coral beads, with a beautiful gradient in size.
However, the customer seemed a little hesitant, saying, "Round red coral doesn't quite feel right for me yet..."
First, we decided to create a piece of jewelry that her mother could wear casually every day.
When many red coral beads are strung together, the color impression becomes quite strong.
Therefore, to soften the impression while still utilizing the beauty of the material, we created a long station necklace with small red coral beads used as accents on a delicate pink gold chain.
Multi-faceted mirror balls were interspersed, creating a design where their elegant sparkle enhanced the beauty of the red coral.
By scattering the red tones, a light and airy piece was born, one that blends naturally with any attire.

Clasp as the Centerpiece. Fused with a Jade Ring
The other item we received was a jade ring.
Moreover, the clasp of the red coral necklace was very beautiful, with intricate detailing and a retro design, so we decided to incorporate this part as well.
Small coral beads, jade, and a gold clasp.
Each had its own unique character, and each felt like a protagonist.
That's why we designed an open ring where each material could take center stage.
The beautiful contrast of red, green, and gold resulted in a piece that quietly asserts its presence on the mother's hand.

And, for my sister and me
After seeing the finished jewelry, the customer said, "I think my mother will be delighted... Now, I'd like to ask you to make pieces for my sister and me as well."
There are still many beautiful beads remaining from the red coral necklace.
From those, the design for her sister is currently being proposed, and the design for the customer herself is already being made! ♡
What kind of jewelry will be born? Please look forward to it.
Helping to connect precious memories to the future
The inherited red coral.
It's not just a material, but precious jewelry filled with her mother's many years of memories.
And now, it has been reborn into a design that suits "the mother she is today,"
and furthermore, it is being passed down to her two daughters.
A story of three people, expanded from a single necklace.
I am truly grateful to have been able to help with that first step.
Once completed, I'll be sure to introduce it here again.
Please look forward to the next blog post.
