Hello.
I'm Omori, the designer.
The star of the reform story I'm introducing today is a 0.4ct diamond set in a platinum solitaire setting.
The ring brought in had a diamond that still shone beautifully after many years.
While solitaire rings were once a classic, they can be a bit difficult to match with today's fashion and daily life.
However, the gemstone itself is truly lovely, so the client wanted to revive it in a way that suited her current self.
With that in mind, she consulted us about a reform.
Diamond ring before reform
Maintain beauty, update style to suit you
During the consultation, as the customer and I looked at 440 pieces of jewelry together,
her eyes stopped on a gold full eternity ring.
It's a beautiful design with small diamonds neatly arranged all the way around a slender ring.
"Can I combine my diamond with this ring?"
I immediately replied, "Yes, I'm sure it will turn out wonderfully."
Choosing the size is determined by "just a little" difference
Full eternity rings are very difficult to resize after completion, so choosing the initial size is very important.
She tried it on many times with a ring sizer; size 7 was a bit tight, and size 8 was loose.
I told her, "We can also make size 7.5," but since it's a type with a center stone, she was concerned about it spinning around after passing her knuckle.
So we decided on an intermediate size of 7.1.
It's only a slight difference, but the customer was satisfied with this size, saying, "This feels comfortable to wear."
A custom-made place for the main diamond
I carefully removed the diamond from the ring entrusted to me and measured its diameter and height in detail.
I then redesigned the entire structure of the ring from scratch, solely for that one stone.
The main diamond is set to float delicately with small, four-prong claws.
The body is encircled with melee diamonds to ensure an unbroken rhythm of light.
It quietly nestles on the hand, yet exudes a subtle inner strength.
That's the look it achieved.

What you feel the moment you put it on your finger
A few days after I contacted her about the completion, the customer visited our store.
Both of us a little nervous, she tried putting it on her finger, wondering, "How will the size be...?"
It was a perfect fit.
Her expression instantly brightened, and she said,
"I am completely satisfied with both the design and the size."
I was truly delighted that the size and sparkle perfectly matched the customer's feelings.
Towards jewelry that grows into a "favorite"
Some time later, I received a wonderful message from the customer.
"I wear the reformed ring every day! I love it.
It matches naturally with any ring when I stack them,
and now it's my favorite among all the rings I own."
It makes me happiest that it can be used as a new part of her daily life.
It reminds me that jewelry isn't just something delivered and then forgotten, but an entity that grows within one's life.
I am truly grateful to have been involved in another wonderful story. Thank you very much.
Until next time, on the blog.
