That's what I thought the moment I held it.
The Paraiba tourmaline in a platinum setting that you brought in.

The unique luminosity of Paraiba, with its fluorescent properties, makes it glow from within under any light. It’s a rare stone. I intuitively felt that the warmth of gold would enhance this blue more vividly than the coolness of platinum.
"I fell in love with the stone and bought it. But... I just couldn't bring myself to like the design."
Those honest words made me so happy. It felt like a waste to let it sit dormant.
The client, who is from overseas, often wears casual styles. Their request was for a simple design on a gold necklace that could be layered. Considering their desire for simplicity and the soft form of this cushion cut, we arrived at a bezel setting together.

With a bezel setting that wraps around the stone, there are no distracting prongs, allowing the color surface of the stone to appear maximized. The client's style and the unique character of this stone were perfectly aligned.
We also carefully considered the chain. Precisely because the top is simple, the presence of the chain significantly influences the overall impression of the styling.
We chose a chain with slightly larger interconnected links. Not too thin, but the stone remains the star. We wanted something that had enough strength and space to truly "converse" when layered with your existing long necklace. We also made it adjustable in length, so it can be freely worn to suit different necklines and outfits.

On the day of delivery, the client came wearing their existing necklace. The moment they layered them—in front of the mirror, their face softened into a smile. Seeing that, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
That blue and the warmth of gold will add a soft glow to their everyday life. I absolutely love this kind of work.
