Hello,
This is Omori, the designer.
Yesterday, I participated in the annual 108 Sun Salutations event at my regular yoga studio.
In yoga philosophy, the number 108 symbolizes the number of worldly desires and is considered an opportunity to reflect on oneself.
On the last full moon day of the year, I quietly and carefully performed each salutation, feeling my body and mind clear.
This special time is important to me, not only for reflecting on the past year but also for preparing to welcome the new one.
The full moon is said to symbolize completion and achievement, and amidst its circulating energy, moments of contemplation about oneself and cherished things are truly special.
I feel that this time, which can be called "mental regeneration," subtly influences our designs and our interactions with clients.
Today, I'd like to introduce a "reform" case of regenerating a precious piece of jewelry entrusted to us.
The customer who came to us for a consultation brought a ruby ring and an emerald necklace that they had inherited.

Their request was to transform the two pieces of jewelry into a new form.
The customer had already viewed our reform examples and found designs they were interested in.
After several discussions, it was decided to create a gold ring.
We proposed and proceeded with a design that connects the contrasting red and green gemstones with gold, creating a soft, winding effect around the finger.

On one side, the gentleness of the cabochon-cut ruby is placed, while on the other, the strong vibrancy of the oval-cut emerald creates a subtle balance between the two gemstones.
Furthermore, by creating a bold open space, we achieved a voluminous yet casual design.

I was amazed by the customer's excellent taste in wanting to use this ring as a pinky ring, and it brought me great joy to be able to give new form to the sentiments held within the original gemstones, allowing them to be cherished once again.
The moment the customer received the completed pinky ring, their face lit up! Their radiant smile and words of gratitude warmed my heart.
The full moon symbolizes "letting go and regeneration."
Transforming inherited jewelry into a new form is precisely the process of reconstructing the customer's own feelings, isn't it?
Even if the form changes, the love and memories embedded within it will shine brighter and be passed on to the future.
It is also a great joy for me to be involved in such heartfelt jewelry reforms.
I hope to continue to give shape to each customer's "story embedded in their gemstones."
Please look forward to the next blog post.
