Due to the recent event, I had taken a short break from the reform blog, but I will resume updating it now.
Have you had a chance to read the reform blogs for the opal ring or the necklace combining light blue stones and opal that I introduced previously?
This time, I will introduce the last piece from the reforms entrusted to us by that same customer.
The piece I reformed this time is a coral necklace with a vibrant vermillion color and a distinctive cut.

When I first saw this necklace, I was captivated by its unique beauty, thinking it looked like "a flower bud, or a paper lantern."
However, for the customer, the design felt a bit plain, and she rarely wore it.
And like the opal ring and the light blue stone and opal necklace, this necklace was also a cherished item inherited from her mother.
I approached the design with the desire to "transform this necklace into a design that she would confidently want to wear."
To maximize the distinctive cut, I designed a platinum "flower calyx" along its seven indentations.
On top of that, delicate yet intensely sparkling melee diamonds were set.
The deep vermillion of the opaque coral and the transparent sparkle of the diamonds create a beautiful contrast, enhancing the coral's allure even further.

Furthermore, diamonds were placed to conceal the holes on both sides of the coral, resulting in a design that is beautiful from every angle.
And so, a one-of-a-kind necklace was born!

The customer was very pleased when she saw the finished necklace.
Later, she sent me photos, saying, "I bought a glass display case to showcase the reformed jewelry!" And in that display case, all the jewelry we had crafted for her was lined up beautifully.
It was a wonderful space, like a small museum! Seeing those photos, I was deeply moved and once again filled with gratitude, thinking, "I can't believe it will be cherished so much."
Reform is "breathing new life into something." I hope this necklace, too, will continue to shine in its new form, carrying the customer's cherished memories.
And I hope she enjoys wearing it often, both on ordinary days and special occasions.
