Hello, I'm Omori, the designer.
Today, I'd like to share the story of a custom-made earring featuring a green loose stone with a rather mysterious charm.
An ink-like pattern floating in green
The client brought in a large, approx. 13mm octagon-cut green stone. The green spreads through the transparent stone as if ink has bled into it. The client consulted with me, saying, "I want to turn this unique stone into earrings."

The green loose stone brought in by the client
Starting with "I'll leave it to you"
The client entrusted me with the design, saying, "You can decide on the detailed design." However, during our conversation, it became clear that she enjoys glamorous attire and a cheerful atmosphere.
I wanted to bring out the charm of the stone while also expressing the client's personality. I considered a simple four-prong setting, but this time I proposed a more playful design.
Like bubbling foam
The finished earrings have a design that enhances the individuality of the loose stone while gently bouncing around the earlobe, like bubbles. Diamonds, which were entrusted to me later, were placed directly below the green stone. Surrounding them, platinum spheres of different sizes were arranged three-dimensionally, "as if bubbles were rising."
The result is a simple yet captivating finish, with a sense of movement and depth. The earrings were completed as if bubbles were dancing around the earlobe.

The encounter with a one-of-a-kind stone and the world that unfolds from it. Once again, I enjoyed creating a fun custom piece with the client, unique to bespoke design.
Thank you for the wonderful request.
See you in the next blog.
