Today, I'd like to share a reform story about a simple jade pendant top that was transformed into a ring from the popular "Water Lip" collection at 440.
A stone that captured my heart the moment I saw it
The customer brought in a sleek jade pendant top.
"I don't have many opportunities to wear it in its current form... But the stone is precious to me, so I want to completely transform it."
With that in mind, she came to us for a consultation.
The moment I saw it, I couldn't help but get excited.
I love all gemstones, but jade holds a special place in my heart.
I once went to Kunming, China (Yunnan Province) to study jade, and its charm always captivates me.
This particular jade had a smooth transparency that reminded me of "rokan" (fine jade).
It had a melting freshness and a very appealing shape.
Reform starting with "How do you want to wear it?"
The customer lives in Aichi Prefecture and had known about our store through Instagram for some time.
She brought her precious jewelry to us during her trip to Tokyo.
"What form would suit this jade best?"
After discussing it together, we decided on "a ring that can be enjoyed on the hand."
Diamonds as a "contour" to enhance the jade
Depending on the design, jade can sometimes appear a bit understated.
So, this time, we borrowed a little help from diamonds to highlight the color and shape of the jade.
The main star is still the jade.
The diamonds are the light that beautifully outlines it.
Water Lip Ring: The perfect leading role
The chosen design was the "Water Lip" ring.
By setting the stone horizontally and gently encircling it with delicate melee diamonds, we carefully enhanced the beauty of the jade.
Even with a large stone, I believe it became a piece that isn't overly flashy and can easily blend into both casual and formal wear, acting as a fashion accent.
When the customer saw the finished ring, she was
"I'd love to wear this!"
She was very touched, and I was truly happy as well.
